August 2010 News
During the month of August, HeartFields at Richmond will be participating in our parent company, Five Star Senior Living's focus on hydration and good health initative. 2010 has been a summer of record breaking heat across the United States. While this is uncomfortable for all age groups, it can be deadly for seniors. Heat kills more people than all other natural killers including hurricanes and tornadoes.
Our parent company has endorsed a hydration awareness campaign throughout its 217 senior communities in 30 states.
Five Star Senior Living, celebrating 10 years of serving the needs of families and seniors, has undertaken the task of delivering thousands of hydration bags filled with water, crystal light and light refreshments to local businesses, senior centers, physicians offices, rehabilitation centers, adult day care centers, municipal offices and eldercare attorneys. The bags also contain an informative resource flyer, “Tips for the Summer Heat and Seniors.”
